Spent a great weekend in Boston working on some writing deadlines for my second book proposal. Jordan and Maddi got to spend the weekend with grandparents, which in Jordan's verbage was a "total blast!"
When I got home Madelynn asked me why I had to go on a trip and then added, "did you want some peace and quiet?"
Stumbled across this quote at the airport, "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. You are the guy who'll decide where to go.” -Theodor Seuss Geisel (1904-1991); Writer, Cartoonist, Animator.
I love traveling. I love the adventures of airports and steering myself in new directions. I also love the adventure of home. I love choosing where to go and striving to be a family and learning how to instill strong values in my kids. And I love the peace and quiet late at night whether in Boston or Minnesota, when those little minds are fast asleep getting ready for another day that's a total blast.
