At lunchtime Jordan told me, "Daddy is sitting next to Maddi. You can talk to him if you want to."
Maddi nodded and smiled with her cheeks creased to her eyes telling me it was true.
I told my kids about the 4th of July and how one year we went to LaCrosse, WI where they have some of my favorite fireworks.
Jordan turned to talk to the empty bar-stool next to him, "Dad, did you have fun? Oh, you have to get back to God? Okay! Bye!"
Then he was gone. If he was there.
It makes me wonder what my kids can really see. I wonder why I can't see the way they do. It makes me want to try.
