Ritual

Last week when we visited Shawn’s grave, Jordan had his
message memorized:

• I love you, Daddy.
• I miss you, Daddy.
• Bye Bye, Daddy.

This has become our weekly ritual.

There are many traditions to life. Some we never think of or consider. We have customs that stretch beyond holidays
and church services. The habits we form
and the routines we shape bring definition to our lives. This is our practice to observe what is
important. A simple ceremony to seek
what is holy.
