There are many times when I wish I could pause life, not allow it to speed ahead.
There are many times when I wish I could take life back, not waste time on silly episodes or unpredictable feelings.
There are many times when I wish I could add more to a friendship or repair relationships that are filled with too many misunderstandings.
There are many times.
Jordan was writing a note about how his dad’s soul in heaven watches over us. He asked me how to spell “soul,” as he had written, “sole” on the paper. I explained that a sole (s-o-l-e) is part of your foot and soul (s-o-u-l) is in your heart. Jordan replied, “Oh! Then everyone has two souls!” I guess one could say that.
Taking into consideration that I walk around with two souls, I hope my chances are multiplied to make the most of my many opportunities. Realizing I have the choice to choose between rapport or regret. The choice between patience or pushing. The choice between conflict or connection.
