Wardrobe

One of the readings at our wedding was taken from Colossians 3:12-14 (The Message Bible):

You chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose wardrobe. Never be without it.

Unfortunately, I worry more about what I put on each day than the wardrobe clothing my heart. I wish I was more like my five year old who dresses in her favorite Christmas-tree print black leggings, a hot-pink Hello Kitty t-shirt and a brown polka-dotted headband, off to school with no concerns or worries about matching.

Put on compassion. Put on kindness. Put on quiet strength.

Let your day be clothed in the best outfit possible!
