Happiness makes up in height what it lacks in length. –Robert Frost
I live by quotes. Anyone who knows me knows this. I guess anyone who reads this blog knows this! I think it’s because a short phrase is sometimes all one can digest in any given moment or at least the extent of what one can remember within the business of day-to-day moments.
I am posting the Frost quote on my bulletin board above my computer. What it tells me is that happiness is possible and it exists and just like life it is fragile and precious. Happiness isn’t a given, there isn’t a guarantee. We can work at it, but we can’t completely control it. There are many elements that affect it.
Still, even if happiness is short, it can be enjoyed, valued and remembered. And happiness isn’t limited. I believe it can come back again.
