Hope

Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up & try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don’t give up. –Anne Lamott

I have been working for what feels like around the clock on editing my book–I guess hours of 8 AM at Starbucks and back again till they close is pretty much around the clock. Squeezing in family time when and where we can.

Last week my cousin visited from California.  She gave me a card that said, “Hope is one of the most beautiful words I know.”  All week as I write, I have been hugging tightly to this word. If someone asked me to define in one word what my book means to me I would say hope. It tells me that today is not wasted and tomorrow is new.
