The problem with pain is that in the midst of it you can’t believe in anything. You wonder if life will be good again, if bible verses are true, and if people are faithful. A lot of people want to be fixers. So they tell you what they think you want to hear. In truth, the most helpful people are those who simply listen and maybe even hold your hand until you find your way back to faith and learn for yourself that God has never left you. Then in this moment it is okay to once again believe.
