“When something bad happens you have three choices. You can let it define you, let it destroy you, or you can let it strengthen you.” -Unknown
It must have been someone who really struggled with something, felt huge hurt, and went through great loss that wrote the quote above. Only someone who has been there would know how to write those words.
The Sacred Journey retreat this past weekend was a highlight. I met many courageous men and women who are working to rebuild their lives after the tragedy of loss. Bertha from Belize was a special friend. Upon meeting her we immediately felt like kindred spirits. I hope one day to visit her in her country. Rani, my local friend, who is originally from India, also has a magnetic heart. Her gentle touch helps so many! Isn’t it true that we only make it through life’s difficulties with the love and support of others? I applaud the Grief Project for sponsoring the retreat and connecting so many hearts that need each other.
