A dear friend wrote to me this morning. She shared this message:
“Life is quite amazing with the journey it takes us on. I forgot to tell you in Kauai, Hawaii, on one of the mountains we climbed, at a bench at the top, someone had inscribed Be Here Now.”
How fitting that she found a message on her travels that has followed me since Shawn’s death. This same message to Be Here Now will be the theme of our celebration tonight when Coon Rapids High School honors Shawn at the first home game of the season on the 8th anniversary of his death. The school is doing a beautiful tribute to honor one of their own. Number 30! Our family is deeply touched and comforted.
