My heart can only think of Sgt. Bergeron's widow and twin daughters today. My words do not suffice.
The priest at the funeral today stated, "There is no other word for it [what happened Saturday morning], but evil." And he is right. The wicked flee. Our officers are bold and brave. No greater gift can ever be given, than laying down your life for a friend. But, even more awe-striking is laying down your life for an enemy.
Our hearts will never forget.
