“Family first. Nothing else matters. In the end nothing else can take a family’s place.” – Anonymous
We had a great family road trip to Montana this summer to spend time with relatives on Steven’s side of the family. The time away in such a picturesque spot reminded me of the simple beauties and joys that make life worth exploring. On our way home an elderly man from Red Lodge, MT complimented our kids at a restaurant and I complimented his beautiful valley. He replied, “There’s always beauty wherever you go, you just have to look for it.”
When we got home, Jordan and I went to the movie Percy Jackson. In the movie one of the characters who has lived through the millenniums said, “If there is one thing we have learned in 3000 years, it’s you can’t give up on family.” It was a bonding experience to meet new family and be welcomed in. We can’t wait to go back!
